Amy Rainer is thrilled to partner with Kendall and Derek Kennedy to bring your 8th graders “Dinner and Dancing”! This 4-week course will be packed with meaningful learning and social opportunities for your teen. The dancing portion of these classes will be taught by Kendall and Derek Kennedy while all etiquette lessons will take place with Amy Rainer. While learning to dance, students will have lessons in how to properly ask a girl to dance, how to accept an invitation, the importance of body language and how to properly escort a girl. The etiquette sessions will cover conversation skills and first impressions, setting a table for a three course meal, use of each utensil, proper ways to hold utensils while cutting and eating, how to treat servers with respect and courtesy and how to be a polite member of any dining experience. In addition to the table manners, we will practice how to begin good conversations with adults (and they will even get a chance to practice with parents on our final evening together)! We fully believe that when teens are having fun, they will be eager to learn. We will take every opportunity to build your student up while teaching them invaluable skills they will use for years to come. Three weeks of instruction followed by a final night of table manners instruction with a 3 course dinner for the students and an opportunity to practice their conversation and dancing skills for the parents!

The following will be our final class which consists of a 3 course meal for students followed by a lead out and dance presentation for parents:

Sunday, February 9 - 6:30-8:30 pm (Mountain Brook Club) Students come from 6:30-8:00 and parents join from 8:00-8:30 for lead out presentation and dance

Course is priced at $335 and includes online registration fee, venue charges, 3 course meal at MBC and printed resource guide.

If you must cancel, we will refund 1/2 of your tuition unless we can fill your space (in which case you’ll receive your tuition minus the $50 non-refundable deposit).
