FAQ

in home curriculum

Should I watch the videos with my child?

The in home curriculum is designed to be in used several ways. Feel free to gather all of your children together to watch it, have a few neighbor children over to watch it with your child, or simply watch is alongside your child. There are several times throughout each lesson where Amy says “talk about this with your group.” We encourage children to discuss the concepts as Amy teaches them. There are even opportunities for children to role play scenarios after Amy acts them out on screen. As children practice the skills that Amy teaches, the hope is that they will slowly become habits.

How would you suggest I use the videos if I’d like for my child to watch it with a friend?

It’s a great idea for you to gather a few of your child’s friends to watch the videos! The in home curriculum is meant for a family or a very small group (3-5 other children). If you would like to host a larger group (a Sunday school class or a Brownie troop), please look into the Large Group Curriculum. When purchasing the Large Group Curriculum you will receive a facilitator’s guide packed with discussion questions and role play ideas, printable cards for each child to take home after every lesson and a 4th video lesson and culminating tea party activity.

HOw LOng Are The Videos?

Lesson One is a total of 21 minutes and 15 seconds (divided into 4 segments).

Lesson Two is a total of 20 minutes and 44 seconds (divided into 7 segments).

Lesson Three is a total of 23 minutes and 1 second (divided into 5 segments).

How Long will I have access to the videos?

You will have immediate access to all three video lessons as soon as you purchase. These lessons will be available for 60 days from the date of your purchase, and you may watch the videos as many times as you would like in that 60 day period.

I bought the program for one of my children previously, but I no longer have access to the videos. I would like to share it with another child. Do I need to purchase again?

Once you purchase the program, you have 60 days to watch the lessons. After that window expires, you will need to repurchase the program if you’d like to show it to another child. For this reason we encourage you to show the videos to all children in your home (even if they may not fall in the suggested age bracket). We believe that all ages can gain a few helpful pieces of information as they watch these video lessons.

Is this curriculum for girls only?

While this program is geared towards girls, boys can definitely learn important skills from these lessons, too! Plans are underway for a boys’ program to be released Fall of 2020.

Would it be ok if my pre-schooler watched it with her older sister?

Absolutely! The more children who watch the lessons together, the more accountability you’ll have around your home! While they may not understand everything upon hearing it the first time, all content is appropriate for preschoolers!
